In Q3 2023, the top navigation and maps apps on iOS in the Middle East demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app.

Google Maps saw its weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at around 113K in late July and hitting a low of approximately 70K in mid-September. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, hovering around 7.5M at the start of the quarter and closing at about 7.1M by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced moderate variations in weekly downloads, starting at around 21K at the beginning of the quarter and finishing with a similar figure. The active user base for Waze showed a general upward trend, reaching a peak of approximately 1.79M in the last week of September.

Google Earth maintained a consistent download rate, with figures ranging from about 9.6K to 16.3K throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 456K and ending the quarter with around 408K.
